Fusiliers Connect is a community platform to help connect veterans, serving personnel and family, designed to drive positive in-person engagement while fostering a sense of belonging and identity.
Each member will be assigned a primary group with their member identity linked to their unit’s cap badge. They will be able to add some of their military and professional background that is visible to other members, including serving dates and postings. Members are able to connect with any other member in the Fusiliers and wider Military App community and once a connection request is accepted those members will be able to view each other’s contact information. It is possible to search for other members by their Regiment, proximity to own home location, profession, service dates and interests groups.
Members can join a range of community groups ranging from Regiments and Associations, through to activity or support groups sharing signposting content. The Events function shows members all upcoming events and event adverts with embedded chat group links, event details and location map pins are there to make it easy and simple to connect in-person. Once a member has joined a group they will be able to view upcoming events as well as news and support articles. Fusiliers Connect is home to Walk+Talk, giving members access to the global initiative that is connecting the military community.
Fusiliers Connect Pinboard acts as a home on the app to highlight ways to connect, latest news and new initiatives happening within the community. The Notifications function will help steer members to awaiting connection requests, latest news from their groups and upcoming events that are happening in their area.
Fusiliers Connect will act as a connective tissue between many organisations and sub communities, providing not only a family regimental feel but also a wider and supportive environment.
Fusiliers Connect is currently only open to the Fusiliers and some supporting organisations.

New Features
Chat Mute & Archive — You can now mute or archive a chat by swiping it in the list, review everything you've put away in a dedicated Archived view, and unarchive in bulk from there.
Leave a Group from Chat Info — Chat Info now lets you leave a group chat directly, and explains what the Mute and Archive toggles do.
Disabled Chats — Chats that have been switched off, and direct chats with someone you aren't connected to, now show why you can't write instead of an unresponsive composer.
Group Qualifying Questions — Groups can ask joining members a set of qualifying questions and read the answers before approving or rejecting the request.
Multiple Ticket Purchases — Members can purchase additional tickets for a ticketed event.
Ticketed Events from a Previous Event — Organisers can create a new ticketed event from a previous one and keep its ticket setup.
Event Ticket QR Scanning — Scanning a public event ticket now registers the scan against that ticket and confirms the result on screen.
Block & Unblock Members — You can reject a connection request with a block, unblock someone from their profile, and blocked profiles are restricted from view.
Temporary Password Sign-in — Signing in with a temporary password now takes you straight to setting a new one.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
Messages keep the line breaks the author typed, and embedded links and pages render correctly.
Member details and the member filter display correctly again.
The main group is no longer listed among regiments when setting event visibility.
Typing event questions no longer drops spaces between words.
Event question answers no longer offer a re-assign option that did not apply.
The toast close button is properly aligned and has a real touch target.
