Free Lingo is a vocabulary learning app built for people who want to remember words properly, not just glance over them and forget them a day later. Whether you’re learning Chinese, English, Japanese or Spanish, it helps turn vocabulary study into a clearer routine: learn new words, revisit them at the right time, check what has actually stuck, and keep building from there.
A lot of vocabulary apps are fine at showing you words, but far less helpful at telling you what to do next. Free Lingo is designed to reduce that drift. After you study, it automatically creates an eight-step review plan based on the forgetting curve, so revision does not depend on guesswork or mood. The Home screen also surfaces the most suitable next action for you, helping you decide whether it is time to learn something new, review overdue content, or reinforce what you studied earlier in the day.
It is also built for more than one way of remembering. You can study with card-based word learning, then reinforce knowledge through Bloom’s Taxonomy-based tests, similar-word discrimination, and spelling-style exercises. Instead of repeating the same action again and again, you move through different layers of recall and understanding, which makes vocabulary practice feel more structured and more meaningful.
For people who want a system they can shape around their own goals, Free Lingo includes a strong self-created learning workflow. You can build your own vocabulary lists manually or import words from text, files, images and other sources, then preview, trim, filter and organise them before adding them to a new or existing plan. That makes it much easier to turn the words you actually meet in reading, work or daily life into a personal study system you can keep using over time.
Free Lingo also helps newly learned words stay active after the first study session. You can review the day’s learning through AI chat, revisit words through multiple Feed card types such as confusing words, word families, usage scenes and common mistakes, or switch to voice-based listening practice when you want something lighter. Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets make quick revision easier as well, which suits the spare minutes between other parts of the day.
The aim is not to make vocabulary study feel louder or more intense. It is to make it easier to keep going: clearer structure, lower friction, better review timing, and a learning rhythm that feels sustainable. If you want a vocabulary app that supports Chinese, English, Japanese and Spanish learning while also letting you build your own long-term word system, Free Lingo is designed to help you study in a way that is more organised, more flexible and easier to stick with.
