1. Better error messages when a download fails Before, if a model download failed, the app would show the user a big technical error dump — raw file data, long server links, that kind of thing. Now it shows a plain sentence like "No internet connection, please reconnect" or "Connection dropped, try again — it'll pick up where it left off." Much less scary for a non-technical user. 2. Fixed a bug where deleting a model could leave the app confused If a user deleted their downloaded AI model, the app used to still think that model was selected — so it could try to use something that no longer existed. Now deleting a model properly resets the app's memory, so it falls back cleanly to another model. 3. Cleans up wasted storage automatically Some AI models were turned off/blocked in the background (unrelated to the client-facing features) because they were unreliable. Previously, if a device had already downloaded one of those blocked models, it just sat there taking up several GB of space for nothing. Now the app automatically deletes it in the background to free up the user's storage. 4. New "Download AI Model" screen This is a brand new setup screen shown the first time someone tries to use AI Market Insight or AI Chat, before they've downloaded a model. It replaces the old paywall screen — since this AI runs entirely on the device (not a paid subscription), there's nothing to "buy," just a one-time model download. The new screen includes: A clear explanation of what they're getting (AI reports, unlimited chat, works offline, data stays on device) A progress bar with a shimmer animation while downloading, and a heads-up for larger models ("this may take a few minutes, stay on Wi-Fi") A confirmation prompt before deleting a downloaded model, so a stray tap doesn't accidentally wipe several GB A fix for a subtle glitch: if the user already had a compatible model downloaded from a different EGK app, this screen used to sometimes auto-close itself unexpectedly before the user even tapped anything. That's now fixed.
