Paired Dice can now be rolled with advantage or disadvantage. The Paired Dice button now has an arrow beside it. Tapping the button rolls normally; the arrow offers Advantage or Disadvantage. Both are one-off actions, so nothing stays switched on by mistake. You can also name the two dice to suit your table, and set the size of each one along with the bonus die. Renaming applies to your existing roll history, not just to new rolls. Labels and die sizes are set separately on each device.

Every roll now shows the individual dice, not just the total. Die Roller for RPGs has recorded each die since its very first version—it just never showed them to you. So this isn't only about new rolls: your existing Roll History is already broken out, all the way back. Nothing to migrate, nothing to rebuild. Open it and look. Live results show the individual dice too. On by default. Settings › Show Individual Rolls turns it off.

The Duality Dice feature is now called Paired Dice, with Light and Dark results. Your existing roll history is preserved—past rolls now show the new labels.

Die Roller for RPGs 2 is now on Mac! Roll dice, manage your Dice Library, and access your full roll history—with iCloud sync keeping everything up to date across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac automatically.

Die Roller for RPGs 2 is now free to download. An optional Dice Library in-app purchase ($2.99) unlocks saving and managing your own custom Dice Sets and Dice Groups. If you purchased the app before this update, you already have full access at no additional charge.

Ready for iOS 26, and enabled the ability to add user-created Die Groups. With this, users can now add DiceSets for single roll applications (like damage rolls for a particular combination of weapon, modifiers, and additional sources, like a rogue that does sneak attack damage in addition to normal weapon + DEX mod damage), or add Die Groups for making batches of rolls. Four such groups are included by default (3d6, rolled 6 times; 4d6 drop 1 lowest, rolled 6 times; 5d6 drop 2 lowest, rolled 6 times; and, 24d6 drop 2 highest and 4 lowest, rolled once but grouped into 6 separate scores).

New in 2.2: Dice Groups! Now, you can roll a set of dice a set number of times all at once, such as when creating a character in certain games and you need to generate ability scores. Four groups are provided: 3d6, rolled 6 times; 4d6 drop 1 lowest, rolled 6 times; 5d6 drop 2 lowest, rolled 6 times; and, 24d6 drop 2 highest and 4 lowest, rolled once and joined into 6 scores. Also new: alternate crit rules! In the settings, enable alternate crit rules to have the "make this roll as a crit" toggle add max dice values of all rolled dice plus the actual rolled values (and any modifiers), such as are compatible with Daggerheart™ and other games.. Turn this setting off to use crits compatible with Dungeons & Dragons® and other games, which doubles the value of rolled dice and then adds modifiers.

New in version 2.1: Dice Sets! Save any combination of dice, modifier, and high/low dice to drop, name it, and load with just a tap from the Dice Sets tab! Assign up to 50 dice each from d4-d100, a roll modifier from -40 to +40 (inclusive), and drop up to 4 each high or low dice. Tap the button to save, give it a name, and it appears on the Dice Set tab, ready to load whenever you need it. Delete existing Dice Sets by swiping left on the entry, or tap the entry and the "Use this set" button to load it into the roller, ready to go!
