Most clipboard managers just save text. Clipboard AI understands what you copy. It auto-categorizes, summarizes, solves math, detects languages, and organizes everything into a searchable archive. It is the smart clipboard your iPhone should have had from day one.

more A redesigned keyboard that finally looks like it belongs.
• The keyboard now sits on the system's own backdrop. Same blur, same rounded corners, same light or dark, blends smoothly just like the native keyboard.
• Collections sync as fast as clips. No more waiting on iCloud when both devices are on the same Wi-Fi.
• Nothing gets stranded. If a clip slips through while a device is asleep, the others spot the gap and fill it.
• A fresh look on first launch, built around what actually slows you down.
• Deleting asks first, with a "don't ask again" right in the prompt.
Copy anything. It will be there.
3.0 11 Aug
Delete now asks first. Because "oops" is not a recovery plan.
• Deleting a clip asks for a confirmation first, so a stray tap in a context menu can't wipe something you needed. Sensitive clips never show their contents in the prompt. Don't want to be asked? There's a "don't ask again" checkbox right there, and a switch in Settings.
• Collections finally agree with each other. A folder you made on your iPhone shows up on your Mac, and a folder you deleted stays deleted instead of coming back from the dead.
• Clips no longer get stranded. If one slipped through while a device was asleep or offline, your devices now spot the gap and fill it in.
• Saved and pinned clips stay ready for the keyboard, even when your history is enormous. The ones you kept on purpose don't age out like a random copy.
• The upgrade screen speaks your language again, in all 38 of them.
Copy anything. It will be there.
2.8 6 Aug
A trick most people miss: add the "Save Clip To ClipboardAI" shortcut on Back Tap, then double tap the back of your iPhone to save whatever you just copied. It saves what you copy without even opening the app. It works on the Action Button too, and there is a quick walkthrough in Settings.
• Quiet maintenance so capture stays instant and sync stays steady across every device.
• Squashing bugs so your clipboard always runs smooth.
Copy anything. It will be there.
2.7.1 23 Jul
Small polish, big reach.
• Now fully in 35 languages. Every screen and label speaks your language natively, with layouts that fit longer translations cleanly.
• Updated capture shortcut. The in-app setup points to the latest "Save Clip To ClipboardAI" shortcut, matching the help guide.
• A smoother start and a cleaner empty screen.
Copy anything. It will be there.
2.7 13 Jul
This update makes one-tap saving bulletproof.
• Big images save without a hiccup. Copy a huge screenshot or photo, tap your shortcut, done. The capture that used to quit on large images now sails through.
• Links save as links. Copy a post from X or Bluesky and your shortcut keeps the actual link. No more strange "redirection" errors, no random preview image saved instead. (thanks Adam for sharing this!)
• One quick favour: re-add the shortcut. Grab the updated "Save Clip To ClipboardAI" shortcut from the capture guide in Settings to get the link fixes. Your current one keeps working for text and images in the meantime.
Copy anything. It will be there.
2.6 9 Jul
Find anything, even inside your images.
• Search the text inside images. On-device text recognition reads your screenshots and photos, so a copied receipt, code, or address is findable just by typing what it says. New screenshots even get smart captions automatically.
• A faster, lighter app. A big rebuild under the hood means near-instant launch and smooth scrolling, even with a huge clip history.
• Smarter search. Live suggestions as you type, arrow keys to move through results, and backspace to clear the last filter.
• A better text-from-image card. Tap to copy the recognised text with clear feedback, collapse long results, and select just the part you need.
• Fixes. Image tiles in the keyboard are tappable again, and Pro no longer flashes the paywall on a cold launch.
Keep copying anywhere. We will keep it safe.
2.5 4 Jul
Every copy counts.
• Nothing falsely "already saved." We fixed the cases where a brand new copy could be wrongly skipped as a duplicate, whether it was a fresh word saved from your Action Button or an image you copied twice in quick succession. If you copy it, we save it.
• Smarter categories. Order numbers, card numbers, ISBNs, and IP addresses are no longer mistaken for phone numbers, so only real phone numbers are tagged that way.
• The most reliable shortcut yet. If capture has ever felt hit or miss, open the "Save without opening the app" guide in Settings and refresh to the latest shortcut. It takes a few seconds and it is worth it.
• A tidier Settings screen. You can now dismiss the upgrade banner when you do not need it.
Keep copying anywhere. We will keep it safe.
2.4 2 Jul
Your clipboard, now truly hands-free.
• Please refresh your shortcut. This is the big one. We rebuilt Action Button and Shortcuts capture to be far more reliable, and the updated shortcut is how you unlock it. Open the "Save without opening the app" guide in Settings, tap to add the new version, and you are set in seconds. If capture has ever felt hit or miss, this is the fix.
• WhatsApp and rich text, saved as text. Copy a message from WhatsApp, Notes, or Mail and it lands as clean, editable text. No more phantom "picture of your words."
• Nothing slips through. We closed the gap where your very first clip could go missing, and stopped duplicate screenshots before they start.
• Sharper images, lighter storage. Saved images look crisper and take up less space.
• Quicker sync, and a long list of small refinements.
Refresh your shortcut, then copy anything, anywhere. We will keep it safe.
2.3 28 Jun
Your clipboard, now hands-free.
• Save without opening the app. Wire up your Action Button or a double tap on the back of your iPhone, then copy anything, anywhere. It lands in Clipboard AI all on its own. We added a quick, friendly walkthrough that gets you set up in about a minute.
• A Help Center, built right in. Pop into Settings for guides, tips, and answers that unlock every feature. No more hunting around the web.
• Cleaner clips. We sent the occasional duplicate clip packing, and saved images are now crisper and lighter on storage.
• Faster syncing and lots of polish. Your clips show up across your devices quicker, with plenty of little fixes along the way.
Now go copy something. We will keep it safe.
2.2 27 Jun
Save your clipboard from just about anywhere short of telepathy. We're still working on telepathy.
• One-tap saving from Back Tap, the Action Button, Siri, Control Center, or a Shortcut. Copy something, double-tap the back of your phone, done. Hands full? Just ask Siri.
• Beautiful new widgets. Recent Clips, Pinned Clips, and a brand-new "Your Clipboard" overview that shows your collections and clip types at a glance.
• Widgets you can actually tap. Tap a collection and land right inside that folder. Tap a type like Links or Images and jump straight to it. Less digging, more pasting.
• Now fully translated into all 39 languages, so your clipboard finally speaks your language.
• The usual polish, a little more speed, and a few bugs quietly shown the door.
2.1 25 Jun
Faster, smarter, and easier to paste everywhere you type.
• Redesigned keyboard. A cleaner look in light and dark.
• Search clips directly from the keyboard (thanks Alan for the suggestion).
• Reorder collections. Drag your most-used collections to the top (shoutout to GeekyAnalyst).
• Smarter categories. Much more accurate address detection, so clips land in the right place.
• More reliable image sync. Images arrive faster across your devices, with one tap to recover any that lag.
• Plenty of polish across the app.

Name that clip.
Give your saved clips a proper name. "Work email," "Wi-Fi password," "that one address." Your lists and keyboard show the name; paste still drops in the real thing. No more squinting at a wall of look-alike text.
Images that actually show up.
Copy a picture, find a picture. We hunted down why images sometimes went missing between your devices and fixed it for good. Old stuck ones quietly heal themselves too.
Edits at Wi-Fi speed.
Rename, pin, or reorganize a clip and your other devices catch on instantly on the same network.
Small update, big tidy. Carry on.
1.9.2 20 Jun
A quick fix for images that liked to keep you waiting.
• Copied images that didn't load (usually right after unlocking your phone, or opening the app after a while) now show up on their own. No tapping required.
• Tap to retry actually retries now, instead of just blinking at you.
• If an image is still on its way from your Mac, a tap nudges your Mac to resend it, so it stops getting stuck on "still uploading."
Small update, fewer empty squares. Carry on.
1.9.1 19 Jun
Sync hit the gym.
• Your clips show up on your other devices faster now, no babysitting required. Open the app and they're already there. It's basically magic, just with worse special effects.
• Pull to refresh finally pulls its weight. It pushes your newest clips out AND grabs the latest ones in, so one swipe and everything's caught up.
• Sync learned to fix itself. If your Wi-Fi wanders off mid-sync, your clips quietly catch up the moment it's back, instead of sitting there pretending everything's fine.
• Plus the usual under-the-hood cleanup. Faster, smoother, fewer gremlins.
That's it. Go copy something.
1.9 18 Jun
This update teaches your clipboard to tell time.
• Timestamps that finally tell the truth. Copy something on Monday, open the app on Thursday, and it says Monday, not "2 seconds ago." Your history used to treat every clip like it was born the instant you launched the app. That era is over.
• Keyboard and share-sheet grabs keep their real time. Anything you copy through the ClipboardAI keyboard or the share sheet now lands with the moment you actually copied it, even if you open the app days later.
• Honest times, honest order. With the right dates back, older clips sit where they belong instead of stampeding to the top like each one is the main character.
• Plus the usual round of polish and bug swatting, because we cannot leave well enough alone.
1.8 15 Jun
We spent this update on the unglamorous, deeply satisfying work of making your clipboard actually behave.
Images that sync, for real this time.
Copy an image on your Mac and watch it show up on your iPhone. Revolutionary, we know. The dreaded "Loading image..." spinner that spun off into the void has been retired, and your old stuck images even heal themselves now. We taught them self-care.
The math problem that wasn't.
Certain copied text could make the app freeze like it spotted its ex across the room. Fixed. It keeps its cool under pressure now.
Secrets stay secret.
Passwords and codes no longer flash in plain sight on the keyboard or in your widgets. Tap to reveal when you actually want them. Shoulder surfers, respectfully, no.
Encrypted local sync.
When your devices swap clips over Wi-Fi, that conversation is now properly locked down. Nobody else on the coffee shop network is invited.
Smarter about duplicates.
Reformatted a code snippet? Same link, different anchor? We stopped pretending those were identical and quietly eating your new copy. Sorry about that one.
Plus calmer memory in the keyboard, screenshots that actually appear when you take them, and a pile of small fixes you'll never notice. Which is exactly the point.
Tap, copy, paste, repeat. We'll keep tidying up behind you.
1.7 12 Jun
New stuff, minus the corporate fluff.
Edit clips, finally. Copied a link with a typo or a number with one wrong digit? Fix it right where it lives. No re-copying, no shame spiral. (Thanks Alan for suggesting this feature!)
Auto-delete old clips. Your history was quietly turning into a junk drawer. Pick a cutoff (30 days, 60 days, 3 months, 6 months, or a year) and the old stuff tidies itself so iCloud stays lean. Anything you Saved or filed into a collection is always kept.
Filter by category. Tap a chip under the search bar to jump straight to your links, codes, or notes instead of scrolling like you lost your keys.
Tap to open. In Saved and Collections, a tap now opens the full clip so you can actually read it before you fling it into the group chat.
Also: faster, steadier sync across your devices, plus a pile of small fixes you will never notice. Which is the whole idea.
1.6 4 Jun
This update is mostly about not making you sigh.
• ClipboardAI is on Mac. New row in Settings: "Get ClipboardAI for Mac." Tap, paste the link in Safari on your Mac, done.
• Swipe down to sync. Same gesture as Notes. Bonus: it also nudges any images that were stuck loading.
• Collections actually sync from Mac to iPhone now. This one was embarrassing. It's fixed.
• One screenshot = one row. The clone-yourself bug is gone. Same image won't show up twice any more.
• Tap to retry actually retries. And when iCloud is still hauling your screenshot across, we tell you that instead of sitting there in silence.
• Page one of onboarding got a glow-up. Three devices, one clipboard, one big mood.

40 languages, no kidding
We translated the whole app. Every button, every tooltip, every passive-aggressive empty state. German, French, 日本語, العربية, हिन्दी, and 35 more. The keyboard chips even fit, which took some doing in Russian.
You pick the language now
Default follows your phone. Settings → App Language flips you to anything you fancy, in case your brain runs in one language and your phone in another. We've been there.
"Clear All" now actually clears
Old clips were coming back from the dead like a horror sequel nobody asked for. Buried for good this time.
Things you'll feel but won't see
Smoother animations. Better text wrapping. Cleaner buttons. The kind of polish you notice thirty seconds in and can't quite point to.
1.4 22 May
- Keyboard, finally caught up
Copy something on your iPhone, switch to the Clipboard AI keyboard, and your clip is right there. No staring contest, no refresh dance, no opening the app to make it happen.
- Saved tab found your stuff
Pinned clips and collections used to vanish from the keyboard whenever you got a little too prolific with copying. They are back where they belong.
- Widget knows what time it is
The home screen widget now updates the moment you copy something. Previously it was showing clips from fifteen minutes ago, like a tiny museum.
- Hex codes show their actual colours
Copy "#30D158" and see a green square next to it. Designers, you are welcome. Everyone else, also welcome.
- Mac sync got a backup plan
If iCloud is feeling lazy, we now nudge it in the background. You can also pull down in the keyboard for a manual refresh, just because.
- Rate on App Store button works
Previously it pretended to work, very politely, very silently. Now it actually opens the review screen. We promise this is not a trick.
- Quick allow auto-paste lives in Settings
In case you dismissed the helpful popup a little too eagerly the first time around. We will not hold it against you.
- Settings tidied up
Colour scheme and language now live in General, where you would actually look for them.
1.3 18 May
- Sync your clipboard with your Mac
Everything you copy on your iPhone can now be pasted directly on your Mac, and vice versa.
- Upload your clipboard to iCloud
Worried about losing what you copied? Not anymore.
- Faster copy and paste
You can now copy on iPhone and paste on Mac even when you are not on the same Wi-Fi.
- Improved keyboard design
Keyboard paste works even better now.
Quick Tip: Enable "Always Allow" in Paste settings for ClipboardAI so it pastes directly when you open the app.
1.2 29 Apr
Paste permissions, sorted
A friendly guide pops up after your first paste showing you exactly how to turn on "Paste from Other Apps" in Settings. Two taps and you never see a permission prompt again. New floating Paste button shows up whenever you have something on your clipboard. Tap it, done. No permission dialog, no drama.
Small things that matter
Removed the skip buttons from onboarding because the whole flow takes about thirty seconds now. The "I have set it up" button actually shows up when you come back from Settings, even if iOS killed the app while you were gone. Cleaned up a bunch of behind-the-scenes warnings that were not hurting anything but were bugging us.
