Generals caught on their own now ride for safety when the enemy closes in. Units can change formation while an unattached general or artillery battery shares their hex, artillery batteries join infantry correctly, and reinforcement generals retain their leadership abilities. Movement and attack highlights and mission briefing scrollbar layout are fixed. Includes stability and memory improvements.

We've just updated the game to the latest version of the HexWar Engine. This includes various bug fixes and performance improvements!

Change: The Bonus 'Opening Shots!' Campaign is now available to all players without requiring an email registration. Fix: Some sound effects not playing following the last update.

Add: Support for the Metal graphics system on all Apple devices, improving graphics performance. Change: Updated the combat capabilities of Cavalry armed only with Pistols. Change: Improved A.I. opponent. Fix: Missing some mount dismount button options. Fix: An error preventing the 'Game Updates' text from appearing. Fix: Some screen layout issues. Fix: Invalid font selection on some buttons on some platforms.

Fix: Units may sometimes have been unable to attack adjacent enemy huts or tents unless charging. Change: When a general ends alone in a hex adjacent to an enemy, after enemy shooting, it now evades if possible, or is destroyed. Fix: Some units were not getting their shock combat bonus in a charge combat. Fix: Some time flank attacks provided no benefit in combat. Fix: A rare crash which could occur after charging.
