Redesigned place experience Exploring a place now works in two steps: first browse the place details, then dive into a curated list of audio topics. It's easier to find exactly the story you want to hear. Places filter New filter button on the map lets you browse by category — Sacred Sites, Museums & Galleries, Historical Landmarks, Monuments, and Performing Arts. Active filters are highlighted so you always know what's selected. Refreshable topics Want different audio topics for a place? Tap refresh to generate a new set for 10 credits, with a confirmation prompt so you stay in control. Completely rebuilt audio player The audio engine has been rebuilt from scratch using react-native-track-player. Background playback with lock screen and notification controls (play, pause, seek). Real-time progress tracking — no more polling. More reliable, smoother, and faster. Spanish language support The app is now fully available in Spanish (es_ES), joining English, French, Italian, and Russian. Upgraded audio API (v2) Audio generation now uses topic IDs instead of text strings for faster, more reliable content delivery. Improved map interaction When you select a place, the map camera now offsets automatically so the marker stays visible above the bottom sheet. Location tracking is now available for all users, not just logged-in ones. Smarter access prompts The popup that appears when access is needed now adapts based on your login state — logged-in users see upgrade options, while guests are prompted to sign in first. Updated copy across all languages We've refreshed the wording in English, French, Italian, and Russian — cleaner, friendlier, and more consistent throughout the app. Removed human voice toggle The separate premium/regular voice switch has been removed — all audio now uses the default high-quality voice. Image and UI improvements Images now load with adaptive sizing for a cleaner look. Confirmation dialogs now support images. Various spacing and layout fixes across the map and player screens.
