# VesselVault 1.3.5 Release Notes Version 1.3.5 makes adding equipment faster and easier. You can now start with a PDF manual, find parts more easily in the catalog, and choose the maintenance tasks that are useful for your boat before saving a part. ## Highlights ### Create a part from a PDF manual Upload a PDF manual and VesselVault prepares the part details for you. You can follow the progress, leave the screen while the manual is being processed, and review or adjust the details before adding the part to your boat. Your uploaded manuals are kept together in one library. A ready manual can be used again, and one or more manuals can be removed from the library when they are no longer needed. ### Find the right part more easily The parts catalog now has a clearer step-by-step flow through categories, manufacturers, and parts. Search is easier to reach, and the new layout makes it clear where you are and how to go back. ### Choose maintenance while adding a part When a catalog part or uploaded manual includes suggested maintenance, you can choose the tasks you want before adding the part. This keeps your maintenance plan relevant from the start. If there are no suggestions, the part is added without an unnecessary extra step. ## Other Improvements - Navigation now feels more natural, with a more consistent tab bar, app menu, headers, and boat switcher. - Sign-in and onboarding are more reliable, including Google sign-in and returning-user login. - Adding a boat or part now returns you to the correct place more consistently. - Uploaded manuals refresh more clearly, handle repeat uploads gracefully, and provide friendlier progress, retry, and error states. - PDF manuals open and display more reliably. - Date and time fields expand and respond more consistently. - Editing maintenance history is safer and clearer, including who performed the work, undo actions, saving, and retrying failed attachment uploads. - Parts and maintenance information refresh more reliably after changes.

- Boat name is now used consistently throughout the app, including: - In the parts list in your boat’s main overview - In the todos lists - On the maintenance overview page of your part - And several other places - Brand, Model, Type, Part Number, and Serial Number are now editable, both when adding a new part and after a part has been added. - In the same screen, there was an issue where the keyboard would cover the input field when entering mileage or hours for the part. Now, everything shifts up so you can see what you are typing. - Several issues related to setting the hours and mileage of your boat have been fixed: - There was a "NaN" issue when leaving one of the values empty. This is now resolved by properly handling empty values on both the app and server. - The todos lists now correctly check the mileage and hours and no longer display todos if these have not been set. - The popup for entering hours and mileage now enables the save button as soon as a change is made. Previously, this did not always work consistently. - Adding a part no longer causes an immediate manual download, which previously made the process take longer. Now, the part is added instantly, and a popup notifies you that the manual is being downloaded in the background. - Several minor design improvements have been made to make the icons for adding a new part to your boat clearer.

We have fixed and added some optimizations to the search functionality in the "Add parts" screen. * There was an error when trying to search for parts. This has now beed fixed. * And we have added some optimizations to the search, allowing searching for type, category, model and brand. * The search results now show the category to which the part belongs, making the search results overview feel more natural and intuitive

* There was an issue that occurred when you tried to add a new part. The screen could freeze during fetching the parts.
