The city will not shut up. You are the bird.
Birds on Watch is a 90 second arcade game about noise, and about the specific joy of making it stop. Car alarms nobody is listening to. A siren going absolutely nowhere. Somebody's leaf blower at eight in the morning. A party in the park that has been going since Thursday.
Anything loud throws out rings you can see, so you can hear the racket, find it, and deal with it from above. Your ammunition is exactly what you think it is.
WHAT MAKES IT WORTH THE 90 SECONDS
- Everything loud is visible. The bigger the rings, the more it pays to silence
- One good drop does most things. Cars are stubborn and take two. A building site takes four and pays like it
- Silence is the score. As the racket drains out, the music comes up and the dawn chorus gets its minute back
- Eat what a bird should eat to reload. Eat what a human left behind and you become, briefly, the loudest thing on the street
- Leave the quiet alone. Picnics, birdwatchers and snowmen were already silent, and hitting them costs you
FOUR CITIES, FOUR BIRDS
A seagull over San Francisco at 8am. A pigeon in London. A falcon over New York at 10pm, where you are hunting headlights instead of shapes. A jay in Toronto under snow. Each city sounds different, looks different, and hides its noise in different places.
CLIMB YOUR CITY
Game Center keeps a separate leaderboard for every city, because they are not comparable and pretending otherwise would just rank whichever one pays best. Signing in is completely optional and the whole game plays without it.
PLAYS ANYWHERE, NEEDS NOTHING
No account, no signup, no ads, no in app purchases, and no internet. The entire game is inside the app, so it works in Airplane Mode, at 30,000 feet, with the sound on.
A NOTE ON THE SOUND
This is a game about noise. It is much better with the sound on, and it is built so you can still read every threat with it off.

Birds on Watch comes from the team behind Bird Rise, the alarm clock that wakes you to a different real birdsong every morning. Once you have quieted a whole city, consider letting a bird wake you up instead of an alarm.
