AIamTalk Korean
AIamTalk – Learn Korean
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
This is a language training app developed over six years of research by an author who has studied infant native language acquisition algorithms for over 30 years and holds a registered patent (Patent No. 10-1133887).
This app is not just content or a translation tool.
It is a “living learning system” where the author communicates and coaches users in real time through messages personally written every day.
Like music, it’s not about listening to a recorded track—it’s about experiencing a live concert by a singer-songwriter.
Within a day of installing the app, you can listen to and read “KimSsam Stories” written that very day, along with photos.
Even the same content feels far more vivid when it is live rather than recorded.
Experience an unprecedented Live App Book, completed through stories newly written every day.

If a five-year-old boy named Cheolsu moves to the United States with his mother, he can speak like a native within a year.
Is it because he attends a good language school? Or because his environment has changed?
Even in the same environment, Cheolsu’s mother does not improve her English exponentially like Cheolsu.
Why is that?
In this update, IamTalk implements the principle of how Cheolsu unconsciously acquires a foreign language from surrounding native speakers, almost like picking up a dialect.
Now learners will receive “Kimssam Stories” messages and, through asking and answering questions, enter an environment where they can naturally acquire a foreign language just like Cheolsu.

When we hear something we cannot understand, we naturally ask again.
This habit of asking again comes from human curiosity. The desire to know becomes a spoken action called “asking again.”
Humans start doing this from infancy. Through this process, we naturally acquire the patterns of asking questions.
Languages with particles or verb endings form questions using those endings. Languages without them form questions by changing word order.
This essential learning behavior, “asking again,” is built into IamTalk.
When you receive a KimSam Message, listen sentence by sentence. If there is a word or phrase you cannot clearly hear, press the microphone button and say it.
If you speak in Korean, it will be translated into the foreign language and spoken aloud.
If you speak in the foreign language, it will be translated into Korean and spoken aloud.
Even very long sentences become clear when you repeat them word by word.

Wherever you go, if you live there long enough, you naturally acquire the local dialect. You don’t even try to memorize it—it just happens. After five years, your accent changes. After ten years, even your vocabulary changes, and you sound like a native speaker.
However, there is one essential condition: you must frequently communicate with people who use the local language.
To solve this, we upgraded “KimSam Story.” The developer of this app, KimSam, sends his personal story every day as a message. When you tap the message, you hear the language you want to learn. Through repeated exposure, you naturally acquire the language—like Pavlov’s classical conditioning.
