紫雲寺位於高雄市鳥松區澄清湖畔，1960年由開山住持演禪長老尼購地草創，2001年，演禪長老尼有鑑於自身及淨圓法師年事皆已高，為使法務永續、正法弘揚，故力邀法鼓山承接紫雲寺的法務工作。 法鼓山自接續法務後，歷經兩年餘的建設與努力，於2003年3月1日前任住持淨圓法師移交印信，由聖嚴法師擔任第三任住持，期許將紫雲寺發展為南臺灣心靈環保重鎮，發揮淨化人心、淨化社會的功能，引導社會大眾一起建設人間淨土。淨圓法師並依止聖嚴法師為弟子，法名為果淨。 紫雲寺定期舉辦：經典共修、念佛共修、菩薩戒誦戒會、禪坐共修等；初級禪訓班、禪一、大悲懺法會、各項節慶法會；佛學講座、成長課程、營隊等，致力推廣法鼓山理念，期能接引更多大眾親近佛法。
