Resident Evil 4 is a masterclass in action and horror – and it’s now available on the App Store. This remake of the cross-platform hit Resident Evil 4 (2005) brings you updated graphics and controls and additional game systems. And that’s not all.

Playing as US government agent Leon S. Kennedy, you’ll be tasked with rescuing the president’s abducted daughter, Ashley Graham, from a distant European mountain village. Your mission, however, is threatened by terrifying secrets lurking beneath the surface, and an onslaught of villagers that are no longer human.

The thrill of Resident Evil 4 lies in the catharsis of survival, against the constant fear that your life might be cut short. There are times to face your worst fears in close combat, and times to escape, recover and ponder your next move. To make it out of the next crisis, you’ll have to make the tough calls.

The outcome of your battles can hinge on split-second actions, and customising game controls based on your playing style can tip the scales in your favour. On iPhone and iPad, you can adjust the size, intensity and display time of the buttons on your onscreen touch controller. Or if a physical game controller is more your style, you can play with one that’s compatible with iPhone or iPad.
