Busuu makes it easy to pick up and stick to learning a new skill. It promises to teach you a language in just 10 minutes a day. Here’s everything you need to know about taking the fast track to fluency.
Learn any of 14 languagues
First things first: you’ll need to pick your foreign tongue. You may be an English speaker aiming for conversational Arabic, or a Spanish speaker working on your English – either way, you’ll find lessons to support you in these and 11 more languages including French, Korean, Japanese, Turkish and Polish.

Master your grammar and vocab
Visit the Review tab to see the grammar theory and vocabulary you have built up through your lessons. A traffic-light system will show you where you’re strong and where you have room for improvement. For weak areas, you can revisit a breakdown of the grammatical rules and test yourself with specific lessons on those units that need work. As your dictionary of words you’ve learned grows you can take additional quizzes to commit that vocab to memory.

Keep on track with a study plan
Set yourself up for success by creating a robust study plan. It will be easier to stick to your practice sessions when you set a regular study time each day and set up notifications to remind you to check in. See your progress towards weekly goals and, ultimately, fluency on your plan dashboard. You can also visit the Review tab to check what you’ve learned so far.

Practise with community members
It’s no good trying to learn a language in a vacuum. As you learn, Busuu will offer you exercises to complete, which can be reviewed and corrected by native speakers from the app’s community. On the Community tab, you can return the favour by checking the work of users learning your mother tongue.
