Best browser I've come across yet, similar privacy and blocking abilities to brave but a cleaner, simpler, more intuitive and 2D UI. The ad/tracker blocker really helps on low bandwidth (I'm stuck at 2-6mbps) and performs very well. Tab management is great, extremely easy to delete browsing history and data (which is actually my second favourite feature after the ad and tracking blocker) which I really value. I don't really see any downsides; can easily switch between search engine per request which is useful on so low bandwidth where I switch between startpage and duckduckgo html frequently. Just want to make one comment, please don't follow brave with a complex 3D UI, your current setup is much nicer and more intuitive than any complex or 3D layout, really simple and easy.edit: I have recently came across a mild annoyance that in private mode it forces a dark mode which strains my eyes so I have to use normal tabs and manually delete browser data. Still, not a big job, just like 4 taps so not a major issue.

Better than Chrome

Chrome was killing my battery on iPad recently, like 8-10 hrs a day background usage! Also it has started bundling together recent tabs so I can't see them without swiping to "open" the bundle, even though I'm most likely to use more recent tabs, why not concertina older tabs instead? So I tried Vivaldi, and it doesn't use as much battery, doesn't bunch the most recent tabs together, and enables me to use the same keyboard shortcuts as in Chrome! (I also tried Firefox but the hotkeys don't work and it forces me to scroll tabs sideways rather than shrinking down tab icons). Vivaldi also lets me sync (with encryption) history, open tabs and bookmarks etc with Vivaldi on my Windows PC (although it merges history rather than showing a per device view), and I can open all my iPad tabs on my PC in one go rather than having to do so one by one unlike with Firefox. Also Vivaldi is very customizable at least on the PC> As long as the battery usage remains low, I'll stick with Vivaldi going forward!

UPDATE September 2025, this browser is becoming my favourite browser, as my usual browser FireFox have redesigned the user interface removed the homepage button basically messing it up, so keep up the good work don’t do the same, sequencing bookmarks between IOS and windows works great.I’ve asked Firefox many times for a bookmark toolbar visible at all times they say yes bur never arrives so maybe you may incorporate this when you have a desktop browser mode. What I like is all tables are closed when you shut it down excellent, would like a custom start page at start up not speed dial, I use DuckDuck it’s the only stat page worth considering.

There is nothing in it to entice users of Safari, or Brave, which offer more. Only for Vivaldi users on Windows (password and bookmark synchronisation). It offers no personalisation options (as the desktop version is famous for) – although it is nice that you can change the look of the icon – although this is also nothing to encounter on iOS. In the settings, you can't change much either. There isn’t even a reader mode. In addition, the tabs are placed at the top, which I find not very convenient. The only advantage is that you can put your own source of ad-blocking filters, but other iOS browsers also offer this, and we can also use add-ons in Safari itself. This is the first edition and maybe something will change in the future. For now, it’s severely average and didn’t encourage me to use it. It lacks some distinctive asset that makes it stand out.
