The Send button lags and turns you into a “spammer”

The Send button lags, tempting you to hit the button multiple times in an attempt to send your message. However, the end result is that your message will in fact be delivered as many times as you hit the Send button. Now, it doesn’t seem too problematic in a private chat. However, in a group chat, when that happens, Telegram’s own spam bot will kick in and restrict your account functionalities, claiming you are sending spam or sending unsolicited messages.In my case, the message — and all iterations — was instantly deleted, and I was prevented from posting in the group for three days by the spam bot. There’s also nothing you can do about it except wait it out. It was a very frustrating experience, and worse is that there is no available update to correct this annoyance.

This is an amazing app and I genuinely constantly love using it. The stickers are great, the app is SO customisable and I love that you can pick the icon you want to use for telegram. It’s like someone took messenger, WhatsApp and discord, smushed it together and came up with genuinely the best messaging app. I wish more people around me used it! It’s genuinely a fantastic app and the fact it’s cloud based means it’s not taking up all of the space on my phone unlike IMessages. My first request is, Apple has messages you can automate, and on Telegram you can set messages to send at a later date. Could you set it so you can make a message send multiple times? For example at 3pm, every Monday, this certain message always sends on telegram. (I’d love to be able to send such messages to my partner, since we’re in long distance and good nights / good mornings are so lovely when automated in the app. It shouldn’t be hard to do this either since most of the system is already there, just need a repeat function for whatever days you choose for it to repeat?) The second request is, please, please please update this for the Apple Watch more. I find telegram to be awfully buggy on the Apple Watch, hard to use and honestly doesn’t load most of the time. I have re-installed the app multiple times on there but it’s a bit of a mess. It would make it so much easier to move from IMessages to telegram this way, since it’s convenient to have a way of easily replying on the watch when busy and unable to use my phone. The stickers are often broken and won’t even show, the app on the watch shows messages from days ago and struggles to show new ones, and I find it crashes/closes a lot ): looking forward to improvements in this aspect!

If only there weren’t so many buggy things in it! Being part of a huge group where on some days, thousands of messages come in, we should be able to select those that we want to delete from OUR side only. Not only messages that we’ve sent, but messages others have sent. But no, that’s not possible. When you click on the message, it does’ show’ the option of deleting, but alas when you choose the trash can, it brings up a helpful (NOT!!) message saying you don’t have to delete as there’s plenty of space given everything gets stored on the cloud. THAT’S NOT THE POINT!! SOME OF US JUST WANT TO KEEP RELEVANT MESSAGES and NOT have to trawl through all the others. Why is that difficult to grasp? Every other platform you can delete things you don’t want to keep. But oh no, not here. There’s more I would feedback, if only I knew someone was listening. But no one is. From this app, we just get crickets. Who makes an app and then ignores the people using it? Doesn’t make sense to me. But then I’m only a consumer. Hours searching for a solution results in nothing. Messages to the ‘support team’ (in app) results in deafening silence. Reaching out on social media - nada. Should I send a carrier pigeon?

For me it’s the best messenger, compared with it all other popular messengers look obsolete and clumsy, or luck of features. Telegram channels is a great feature, you can read news, memes and your favourite bloggers or group chats on many topics, and no need to use any other social networks. And it’s great to have it all in one place. I also really like personal notes feature, use it every day for lists and notes. They also have web version. And most importantly the application is state of the art, very fast and handy and has a clear understandable interface. For me it’s the best app to use, I can’t recommend it more 💙
