SofaPlay allows you to play media files directly from your Mac on the tv. It connects your Mac to your Smart TV and takes care of the streaming. Just drag any movie file onto SofaPlay and it will appear instantly on the big screen in front of you. SofaPlay streams your video wirelessly to your TV.
No configuration needed, no hassle. Just drag and drop.

IMPORTANT: SofaPlay is working with devices, which are supporting the UPnP/DLNA Digital Media Renderer standard. Fortunately, most of the new TVs are working with SofaPlay. Also, there are a few supported Blu-Ray Players. If your device has a network connection (wireless or wired), there is a great chance it is supported.

I thought when I downloaded the lite version there was a mistake, almost no controls or menus, but it works so well that i immediately bought the full version, it streams to my my LG TV and my Xbox One. Only gripe would be that I can’t skip rewind via the app, but I can do this via the device so its no issue.Great app, I recommend to anyone that wants an easy streaming solution.

This is a very Apple-like app. It's polished, has a nice UI. It picked up my TV straight away, and all I had to do was drag a video file onto the app. Simplicity is key, anyone can use this app, it's worth paying for.

I use this to stream movies from my iMac to my Xbox One. It is so easy to use, works flawlessly every time and even works with the Xbox Media Remote. Great little app for the price; a must-have!
