LEGAL INFORMATION
This app is designed and intended for Lloyds UK customers to access and service UK personal products, and for customers of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets plc, using the business names Lloyds Bank International and Lloyds Bank International Private Banking, to access and service personal products held in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. It should only be downloaded for this purpose.
While the app can be downloaded from App Stores outside the UK, this does not mean we are inviting, offering or recommending you engage in any transactions or establish a customer relationship with Lloyds or Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets plc.
Any confirmation that our product or service complies with European Union law is made to Apple to meet this legal requirement. This does not imply any representation, warranty, or statement to you and should not be relied upon for entering into any contract.
If you are changing, updating, or refreshing your app and the change will require customers of yours to upload, you should tell them in advance . I am increasingly dismayed with the business and personal services of Lloyds and can’t believe how incompetent your adoption of technology has been .. if you are trying to compete with the digital banks you have to be at least as good as them. Alternatively if you are trying to differentiate yourselves from the digital banks then you need to offer customer service. Customer service as a minimum means you have to have a method of your customers contacting you … not a minimum of 20 minutes of waiting for someone to answer the phone and tell you they can’t help, to then be transferred to 3 different call operatives and to be told that the answer is to go to the nearest bank a 7 mile drive away between limited opening hours .. to get to the bank and be told people are going in every day with the same simple digital challenge. And by the way, I run an IT company and I don’t appreciate it when your call centres start with the assumption that it’s a user error, an inability to use IT, a not understanding mobile apps, or even worse suggesting I don’t know how to download a pdf when in fact the issue which took weeks and hours of my valuable time to resolve when the issue is internal to your banks ability to use technology, let alone understand customer service ..
Cannot add my 2 Credit Cards into to my 🍏Apple Wallet
Crouchtrader
After upgrading my iPhone (you “lose” ALL your Credit/Debit Cards in the 🍏Apple Wallet in which I have over 20 Cards)… I set about adding them all back… All went well until I got to my two Lloyds Credit Cards… they WILL NOT go in… they throw up an error message “Card Not Added… Contact your card issuer”. The Lloyds Debit Card went in successfully. I have spent the last two weeks talking to various Departments in Lloyds (including the “Fraud Team”) trying to get these two Mastercard Credit Cards into my 🍏Apple Wallet… no joy. They have even DELETED the two Cards I had (which were in my old iPhone OK) and I have received two NEW Cards (with new numbers/expiry/security CVC codes) BUT THEY DON’T WORK EITHER!!! The “Fraud Team” have CONFIRMED that there is NO “Fraud Block/Alert” against these two Cards. After many hours over two weeks spent talking to them on multiple calls/call backs I now have to wait (up to SIX WEEKS!) for a Call from a “higher authority” (part of the “Fraud Team” I believe)… to try and get this resolved. Now, OK, NOT having your Cards available in your 🍏Apple Wallet isn’t “The End of the World” BUT I am a fastidious sort of chap and I WANT my 🍏Apple Pay ALL WORKING AS IT SHOULD (as it did on my previous iPhone…) So, I am now waiting for the Call Back… NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL !!! 😤

Getting Better…

Who was this angry person of 5 years ago I’m sure it’s not me! Wow it’s taken a long time but Lloyds do at last seem to be getting onboard with improving the UX and interface. I can now clearly see the ‘continue’ button at the bottom of the screen. Logging off is fine and thankfully all seems to be working as one might expect. Well done and one more star for you.The Lloyds banking app is obviously designed by a team who don’t have to use it as customers, otherwise some of the really annoying niggles would, hopefully, be ironed out. Why is it so difficult to log off? The Log-off button moves around with iterations of the app like a cockroach scuttling out of the light. Put it in a top corner on all screens. When paying bills online on an iPad it’s almost impossible to hit the continue button at the bottom of the screen as this is hidden by the rest of the interface controls. Just move it up a few points so it’s clear and separate. I’ve just nearly paid a bill twice. I don’t want to see ‘ads’ however cloaked when I log on I just want to to to my account, not but a financial product. I’ll let you know if I do. This could be so much better. It’s brilliant that we can all access our money safely (I hope) online, pay bills, scan cheques etc but just a simple it of interface design and UX would really improve things, it’s not difficult it’s just moving a few pixels about. Come on Lloyds or I’ll sell my few shares in you! At 50p a go probably tells you enough about the business.

Lloyds and Halifax apps are terrible
MegaDrivers
This app and the Halifax banking app are both alike. Similar UI and options and with it both are unreliable and not convenient to use when you urgently need to access YOUR OWN MONEY. The slightest amendment to a standing order for example will repeatedly display an error message and to try again later. It’s these little things that make a big difference in your day to day banking that leaves you wonder that if a major bank can’t implement good IT development to allow you to conveniently use a good banking app then how good is Lloyd’s and Halifax at handling your money? NatWest are just as bad, actually no their IT system for online and apps are worse and riddled with OTT security checks that never work correctly yet in comparison to Lloyd’s apps, Lloyds allow you to get into your banking easily via the app security yet when you’re in the app there’s very little you can do just view your money. Should you want to create or amend anything the circle of doom just turns and turns until the app crashes, when all you’ve selected for example is to view your direct debits or standing orders or if you go to amend anything it produces the aforementioned error message to try again later. 1 star for accessibility to app, no more stars can be awarded due to the poor reliability of app for frequent, banking use that should cater to convenience but the app just becomes redundant and in the end it’s easier, yet more steps than it should be, to just log in online instead and not use the app.
We're always working in the background to keep things running smoothly. If there’s something new, we’ll let you know.
