Command Fidelia from your phone — your library, playback, Audio Unit effects, and now its internet radio. Auto-discovers your Mac over Wi-Fi. No accounts, no setup. Free.
Fidelia Remote is the free companion to Fidelia — the audiophile music player for Mac. Fidelia plays your music bit-perfect: no compression, no quality loss, no subscription, and full support for FLAC, DSD, and hi-res formats. Remote puts that player in your hand — browse your library and command playback from anywhere in the house, on iPhone or iPad.
Rebuilt from the ground up — now with Audio Unit plugin control.
What you can do:
- Browse your full Fidelia library — artists, albums, playlists, and songs
- Control playback — play, pause, skip, seek, and volume
- See what's playing, with full album artwork
- Switch shuffle and repeat modes
- Toggle Fidelia's three Audio Unit effect slots on or off — set up your plugins on the Mac, then bypass or re-engage them from your phone, mid-session
- Play Fidelia's internet radio — browse and start stations, with a live indicator while one's on air
Auto-discovers Fidelia on your local network via Bonjour. No accounts, no setup, no configuration — open the app and your Mac appears.
Fidelia Remote works with Fidelia 2.x on a Mac on the same Wi-Fi network. New to Fidelia? Find the audiophile player for Mac on the Mac App Store, then reach for your phone.
update 2.2 of Fidelia loads unexpectedly invisibly
don't nag
Since the v2.2 update my long term use of Fidelia has been problematic (macOS 26.4). You appear to be requiring me to re-review. You are also attempting to bully me into awarding Fidelia a 5-Star review which IMHO would constitute something of a lie on my part. V2 of Remote now loads after I managed to get V2.2 of Fidelia running without crashes. I have already sent Apple maybe a dozen crash reports - bully them please not me. The macOS Remote never saves its user-customised size or position onscreen, it never ‘finds’ its host programme (Fidelia) without my assistance. So, not much of a remote really. There is no option to reduce the overly enlarged artwork to something vaguely normal AOT a gross automatic rendering. The iOS Remote is a bit more reliable and has the singularly advantageous feature that it hasn’t yet crashed anything Fidelia. It doesn’t get Fidelia running so hardly a true remote if I have to pre-start Fidelia before Remote actually does something remotely. You state that Remote 2.0 works with Fidelia 2.2 ‘flawlessly’ - as a review I cannot agree… Oh, while re-writing this review macOS Remote has just crashed once again, so yet another Problem Report sent to Apple. Fidelia v2.2 Mini Player’s moving indicator blob cannot be reliably dragged to move the music along or back a bit but merely moves the whole Mini Player instead. The host Fidelia programme never remembers that I favour using the Mini Player or its onscreen placement but reverts to what YOU want it to be or do. I find the flaws (it’s definitely NOT flawless BTW) slightly annoying and the ‘5-Star review’ demands to be unacceptable. IMHO 5-Star awards should be voluntarily awarded solely by merit NOT by bullying demands. ZenDesk is not a ‘tiny family-owned company’ as you appear to be saying, it’s a global pseudo corporate disparately located organisation of debatable usefulness.

Hi there, write to me directly at support@audiofile.engineering with a description of your issue and I'd be happy to help, then update your review.
Unresponsive
Mengatohue
Unresponsive on both my iPhone 13 and my iPad. Managed to connect it to my mac once but even then it didn’t do anything and the remote app has also been crashing. There do not seem to be any settings to access, and the user Manual on the developer’s website gave little information. I am very pleased with the main Fidelia app so far but this is disappointing.
Rarely do apps work as well as this...

I've been using Fidelia for some years for playback into a high-end hi-if system (and other systems not so high-end). No application that I've found has such superb sound quality and huge flexibility in set up. Using my MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro as the source machine, I had a quick Google to see whether I could control Fidelia from my iPhone. This came up immediately at the absurdly low price of £0.89!Bought it, downloaded it, opened it. Instantaneously it found my MacBook playing. Exactly what one wants is on there and no flannel; artist name, song name, track progress slider bar, prev, next, volume, dim and mute. Perfect! I have a number of Macs all running Fidelia so this will be very useful.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I think you will find the new completely rewritten Fidelia Remote even better; shuffle/repeat control, AU control, album art. Cheers!
Solid, fast.

Found my Mac which is running the Fidelia desktop app immediately, so I was up and running in a few seconds. The app itself is nice and snappy, and provides all the remote functions that I need. It's not cheap, but I'll take quality over price every time.
Live streaming control. See your complete library including tracks from your LMS server. Long-press to play and shuffle your playlists.
Fidelia now streams — and 2.5 brings radio presets to your phone. Browse your stations, start one playing, and the now-playing screen switches to a live indicator while it's on air.
Under the hood.
Extra help for initial connection when your network permission setting might not be enabled.
The connection to Fidelia has been extended and hardened for streaming — faster and more reliable.
