Our team of UK-qualified registered doctors and Advanced Nurse Practitioners are available for video and phone appointments at a time that suits you. Additionally, we offer a prescription delivery service, instant referrals, 24/7 secure access to your medical records, and more. We empower you to take control of your health by putting you in charge of your healthcare needs.
Appointment times to suit you
You can book an appointment with Doctor Care Anywhere easily by logging in to our platform through your device. Our service is available 24/7, 365 days a year, so you can find a time that works for you and book your appointment instantly. We understand that your time is valuable, which is why we make it easy for you to see a doctor or Advanced Clinical Practitioner at a time that suits you.
Our Clinical team
Doctor Care Anywhere offers you the ability to choose your preferred clinician from our team of UK-registered doctors and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. You can search for a clinician based on their area of expertise, their name if you have seen them before, or their gender if you prefer to speak to a male or female clinician. All our clinicians are UK-registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and are qualified with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). They are also specially trained in virtual consultation skills, ensuring that you receive the highest quality of care during your consultation.
Same day medication
You can have your prescription medicine delivered to your door or get it sent to your nearest local UK pharmacy for you to pick up at a time that suits you.
Instant referrals
Following a thorough consultation, if appropriate, the clinician will write you an instant referral and email you to let you know it has been stored securely on your patient record. You can then download this to share with your specialist or insurer.
24/7 secure access to your patient record
You can access your patient record at any time, update it as necessary and use it to download notes and referrals for future consultations. We can also share your notes with your NHS GP with your consent.
What our patients say
"The advice from the GP was excellent and thorough and the whole service is refreshingly immediate. I have already recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so."
Charlie from Fulham
"I’m delighted my days of stuffy waiting rooms are over! I was able to make an appointment really quickly and easily with a doctor who really took the time to answer my questions fully and gave really informed and relevant advice."
Lucy from Surrey
"Doctor Care Anywhere has changed the way I view GP medical care from both a personal and professional perspective. Their online service is incredibly easy to use yet still maintains the highest level of personal care and privacy."
Lara from Warwickshire
“There are times when it can be difficult to get to the doctor, especially for parents juggling home, work and small children. Having access to Doctor Care Anywhere, a service that allows you to consult with a doctor online or over the phone seven days a week is both handy and helpful, at the times when you need it most."

I am really delighted with this service; it is so much better than trying to get an appointment with my NHS GP. The GP seems to be interested in really getting to the root of the problem rather than just hurrying you along. I had been seeing my NHS GP for two years with this problem with no solution found or further investigation offered. This GP immediately clicked onto the issues and referred me straight away to a specialist; I have already seen the specialist and am on the path to finding a diagnosis and, hopefully, some sort of solution. The GP has also insisted on a follow up to see how I am doing a week later, which shows a certain amount of care and responsibility. A real relief to have an alternative to the current poor service (understandably) on the NHS.One little bit of feedback strictly for the design team is that when one is given a range of available appointment times to select from, they are initially expressed in the 00:00 format which is fine except that one is offered, for example, 07:30. I automatically thought that means 7.30am but when further along in the booking process it confirms that it is actually 7.30pm.
From fantastic to truly poor in 12 months

In the midst of the pandemic you could make an appointment with a doctor within a few hours at most. Now you can’t get an appointment sometimes for three days and even then you are offered appointments at 1 or two o’clock in the morning!I am lucky to have this service as part of my private health package but what of those poor soles who are actually paying. My son has a subscription with a similar service called Babylon and he can get an appointment within 4 hours. What’s happened!?!I am able to confirm a short update. I did receive a prompt response explaining the problems and that all should rectify itself in about a month. I will, of course, keep an eye on it.

Thank you for your feedback, we have seen an unprecedented demand for appointments recently and are working with our GPs to further increase the volume of appointments that are available daily for our patients. We hope to find this improved within the next month and can only apologise that you were not able to find an appointment within the timescales you are used to. We do offer appointments throughout the night as we have patients in other time zones who access these, and these appointments are available to all patients should they choose to use them. We do also have some slots that become available throughout the day due to cancellations and our Patient Experience Team can also check if any of these have become available for you if you call them via 0330 088 4980, our lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Terrible signup and user experience as a family

Frustrating, slow, unintuitive, jumping between app and browser. Has anyone actually tested this?We are a family of 4 with axa healthcare. To use this service zero data is transferred from AXA so absolutely everything has to be filled out again, often with the app/website not working or scaling properly to the mobile device. We only successfully registered after spending 30mins on the phone with a very nice customer services chap (we work in tech ourselves so are not IT morons). Then you have to go through the whole process again for the second adult, you cannot have a family account. Then you have to add and verify each child TWICE! Once on each separate adult account. Often this would involve calling the helpline as documents wouldn’t automatically verify. So to get some “quick” medical help, DO NOT use this service, call 111. If you have a spare weekend to set this up then it may be helpful. Just another example of medical insurance taking the absolute p**s, outsourcing their services in a very un user friendly way. Poor UX in 2001 let along 2021!

I supposedly have access to this service via my firms Axa ppp business cover. They sell this as a free & easy service which sounds great. The App cannot accept a photo required to activate your account if sent from an iPhone. The App wouldn’t open properly and You have to pay in advance for a consultation and then bill Axa PPP. Nothing easy about that. I had to call the Company direct to try to make sense of the App. The girl who answered my call was very lovely & helpful but out of her depth. You should also note another members of staff were speaking so loudly on the phone behind my operator I had trouble hearing my operator, but I could clearly here all the personal details being discussed by the other operator. I lost confidence immediately in this firm. It would be easier and less complicated to make an appointment with my NHS GP and wait for an appointment. Finally, the “customer service” lady who called me seemed keen to apologise to me before she even know what my issues were. so it felt like this was a regular occurrence for her. I will be asking AXA for my money back. If Dr Anywhere can’t even get you started who knows what the quality of their doctors will be.

Dear Nick, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the service. Please allow us to address your points individually: a) unfortunately some of our AXA members are required to self-pay at the point of use and then reclaim the money from the insurer. This is a policy-level requirement stipulated by AXA rather than Doctor Care Anywhere, but we appreciate that it triggers additional steps for patients. b) We can accept documents sent from newer iPhones, despite the format changes. We appreciate that you were led to believe otherwise by one of our customer service team members and we’ve addressed that knowledge gap with the employee and the wider team. c) We apologise for the impact that the background noise had upon your conversation and we are committed to diagnosing any acoustic issues and eliminating them. d) Our Customer Service Manager was keen to address your concerns and we absolutely apologise if the service failed to meet your expectations. We are, however, confident that the majority of our users find the service both useful and user-friendly. e) All of our doctors are registered with the GMC and are current members of an NHS Performer’s List. We operate an extensive recruitment and support process to ensure that they provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients. If you wish to discuss this further, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Customer Service Team on +44 (0)330 088 4980.
This update includes a range of bug fixes and performance improvements to make your experience smoother and more reliable. Thanks for using Doctor Care Anywhere.
