Face your suspects in a direct interrogation as you rely on your skills of deduction to get to the truth. Experience the mystery, solve the murder and become a top-tier detective!
HOW TO PLAY CLUE/CLUEDO:
1. Three cards are dealt face-down and set aside – this is the solution to the crime!
2. Everyone is dealt three cards. These are automatically crossed off your clue sheet, as they can’t be part of the solution.
3. Roll the dice and move around the board.
4. When you enter a room, you can make a suggestion – select who you think the murderer is, what weapon they used and where the crime happened.
5. Other players will then aim to disprove your suggestion; if one of your suggestions matches a card in their hand, they show you that card to disprove it.
6. Use your clue sheet to keep track of which characters, weapons and rooms have been disproven.
7. Think you’ve figured it out? It’s time to make an accusation! Be careful though – if you’re right, you win, but if you are wrong, you’re out!

Not sure it’s much of an improvement, firstly graphics are like a old video game from 20 years ago, the old game had a nice charm about it and was pleasing to look at the rooms and the details in the pictures. Also gameplay seems slow to me, do I really need each character to pop and I say “I can’t help you” it just seems too slow, I just want ticks and crosses to quickly appear, job done! The clue sheet is clumsy, the auto number option is nice but not intelligent enough to not number when there is a tick already there, and also when you place a tick it doesn’t automatically cross the other boxes which is very annoying! And having it landscape makes the clue sheet quite small when playing on a phone, I much preferred it being portrait! It’s a shame you didn’t just make some new themes for the original game and not bother with this new game!!

Not worth the high price

Firstly, the good stuff, the score sheet is much improved, you can track who has seen your cards, and I like that you can view the other players score sheets at the end of the game. You can play in landscape mode which is better for iPad players. I like that there are different play style options. The bad stuff, the graphics and animations look very dated and are too long. There are no scoreboards so you can’t keep track of how many games you’ve played, or where you come on the leaderboard like in the original game. The options for character avatars are very limited unless you’re willing to pay a lot of money for content that isn’t available and might never be available. The original game has lots of options for avatars so you don’t see the same ones all the time.If more avatar choices are released, an option to turn off the slow animation, and leaderboards are brought in, then I would be much happier with the game.

This game is a massive step up from the previous Cluedo app, with much improved graphics, more game modes, unlockables and much more. Maybe an extra hard difficulty could be added for the people who have a lot of experience with Cluedo? When I play on hard, I don’t often lose. I don’t know if that’s an issue with the difficulty or not. But regardless, this is a fantastic app from fantastic developers. Lots of fun. Definitely one of the best apps so far.

Excellent new slant on an old favourite

I have been playing classic Cluedo on ipad for some years with great enjoyment. This new version is extremely good with superb graphics. I particularly like the new key questions mode as if you use your key it goes to the player you ask thereby adding a different element of strategy to the game.
