No internet connection required: all data is hard-coded into the app, so there’s no syncing process, and you’ll be able to access it even without a cell signal.

Regularly updated. Full of extra info. A responsive developer behind it.I have used many other data rate calculators in the past, many started out well but all seem to have fallen behind the new cameras and codecs and development ceased altogether. This is up to date and contains loads of extra helpful info about the cameras beyond the data rates.

The formats app has been my go to guide for the last few months. I use it daily as a quick reference tool alongside my studies in colour grading/correction. It has a bright and clear interface and is very user friendly. Highly recommended.
Paid previously for full program and most recent doesn’t unlock

Great app which has helped on many jobs however I’ve paid for the full version previously and now after updating to the most recent version it does not unlock all cameras

Good app but bad pricing model

I bought this app a few months ago - it’s been very useful. But now they’ve updated the app to version 4 and the app is crippled unless you pay all over again. Why should I pay all over again, for the same features I’ve already paid for once already? Not happy
