Heads Up!

Created by Ellen DeGeneres, this riotous game-night challenge reinvents charades for the app generation. Pick a category, then hold your device up to your head, screen facing outward, and guess the words using your friends’ clues. Several categories are included, with many more available as In-App Purchases. Best of all, you can record and share videos of your friends’ increasingly frantic efforts to clue you in. Heads Up! puts a fun, fast-paced party starter in your pocket.
This game, is fun/boring, it is boring cause, they have the same thing, all over again, and it's fun, because, you can laugh, have fun, record yourself, but I use it, for fun, and didnt follow the rules of 'heads up!' But once, I did, it was so boring, that me and my brother almost DELETED it. Yeah, you heard me! DELETED IT. Also, besides, ALMOST deleting it. It is not free, so players don't know what's going on, and that they can't give a good or bad review of this game, what I think they should do, is that they change the gamemode a bit, and that, when the timer ends, they don't make a goofy sound, cause of that goofy sound, when I first played it. It SCARED me. Also, they should extend the timer, to one minute, it's because, players would have more extended time, to explore, how fun/boring this game is.Thank you for reading my review, hope to see an improvement of the game!
I love 'The Ellen Show' so when I saw that they released an app, I knew I had to have it.I bought it and then tried to play it by myself in the mirror, which obviously didn't work. I then took it to school to play with my friends between exams, and I swear, we've shared some of the funniest moments together, which I'll remember forever. (Seriously, the app lets you record your friends while they impersonate blue whales. Quality blackmail material.)This game has made us all smile in our final moments of school (which is a ridiculously good achievement!), as well as relieved us of some of the mid-exam stress. That's amazing. So yes. Download it. 69p is nothing for the most hilarious, moronic things you'll do when you play this game. You'd be prepared to pay a LOT more for something as entertaining as this.
Build your own decks is absolutely what this app needed (yes, they cost 69p each - get over it)! The game is great anyway. Video recording is hilarious and the default decks included are pretty good (if a little culturally biased and somewhat limited). But the addition of build your own takes it up another notch. Now, how about adding the ability to edit entries that are in your custom deck (I'd rather edit a typo than re-enter it)? Also, sharing / collaborating would be awesome (and a huge amount of work on your end, I'm sure). Finally, tweaking the rules would be sweet too (sometimes, 60 seconds just isn't enough).
This game used to be a 5-star app in my eyes and a favourite at my Spanish-English language exchange meet-up, as it was so easy to switch between the two languages while playing. However since the button to switch languages has been removed from the main app page, it has completely broken the multi-language feature. I go into the app settings and change the language, but these changes are not reflected in the app. I even tried closing the app completely and reopening it but the language still doesn’t change.
I’ve had the game for a while and like to bring it out at family events - yesterday I decided to get the £4.99 bundle advertised and was looking forward to playing the new decks. It repeatedly crashed when trying to play these - would not register your movements at all... so I completely wasted that money 😔...fortunately we had cards against humanity to fall back on. This morning I tested the app again and it was still the same so I decided to uninstall and reinstall in hopes it was smart enough to remember I’ve made previous purchases and it hasn’t. So money wasted and a bit gutted because I actually really liked this game! Sad times!!! 🙁
I love playing this game with my friends! It's a ton of fun, especially when you're in a group. I've also downloaded some of the DLC and those decks are just as good as the ones that come with the app. The feature to record video is great but sometimes doesn't work (there is no video, it's just white). Also sometimes the app randomly crashes mid-game after about 10 minutes of continuous play. I'm using an iPhone 4 with iOS 7.0.4. Otherwise it's a really fun game and I recommend it to anyone looking for a hilarious game to play with friends!
I played this loads over the Christmas period with my friends and family! It's great fun for various groups of people due to the different types of decs From 6 to 65 we all had a great laugh playing with this app. I only wish there was a UK version as we had no idea what some of the things that came up were. Even so we passed these and continued on, it truly helped to fill our Christmas we proper belly laughs and I look forward to the next time I get to play it! 😄😂
I literally bought this game yesterday and honestly I’m so disappointed, I watch Ellen degeneres all the time and I see her play this game on her show, knowing that this was her app I decided to purchase it but honestly it was a waste of money because the few games that are free on the app aren’t that great and all the good ones on the app you have to pay for and they are quiet pricey and I didn’t understand that but anyway I will contemplate whether I will keep the app or not just for that very reason. Only pro is when you play the game it records so you keep those as memories if playing with friends and fam.
Great little app, kept a group of 20 year olds entertained for a good 2/3 hours sober and endlessly when drunk. Simple, easy to grasp and a lot of fun! Only issue is repetitiveness of words/people etc and the cost extra categories. Don't mind buying more but each one costs the same as the app itself! Should be more like 30p or a set price if you purchase 'packs' or all of them at once. Also needs to be updated regularly to refresh existing categories too otherwise will become stake quickly.
Since having to pay for the game it has gone majorly downhill. There are now only 9 categories you can play “for free” (after you have already paid £1.99 for the game) and you have to pay extra for any additional. There were way more free decks when the app itself was free. Secondly the decks were repeating cards when we said “play again” straight away. So not only have I paid £1.99, we have literally had one go at a couple of decks before getting repeats. And none of the other free decks appeal. Used to love this app but really regret paying to get it again. Wouldn’t recommend unless way more “free decks” are added.
