Setgraph: Workout Log
Ratings & Reviews
The app is nice and looks the part and is a well fleshed out concept however the backend dev on this is atrocious. The app freezes and crashes when wanting to add a manual entry for a new workout. Button presses don’t register until like 3-4 seconds after being pressed or sometimes they just don’t at all. The ui layout choice when adding exercises is really unintuitive, why do I have to back out of my keyboard to press save, the save button should be visible at all times to quickly get back to the workouts page. There is also little to no new user experience when it comes to explaining anything as you hope everyone will just default on your “Ai” to make the app experience bearable, which I have to say of all the “Ai” workout features I’ve used this has got to be the worst one. Honestly guys get it together fire whenever is doing your dev and delete that useless “Ai” feature. So close to a good app. Because there isn’t much competition except for “Strong” but that has no new user experience or guides at all and shoves you right into its insanely confusing deep end, don’t be like them.
Developer ResponseThanks for sharing detailed feedback. We’re continuously refining the app’s performance and user flow, and your notes about manual entry speed, button response times, and the “Save” workflow will be reviewed for improvement.
This is the only app I have found which you can enter your own workouts, and log the sets accordingly, instead of having to follow a pre made program. Excellent for people like me who follows their own, and wants to keep an eye on progressive overload. Excellent feature seeing the increases in reps, weight, volume… ensuring you’re always able to achieve some form of progression. Highly recommend. I will also add I downloaded this and used it for the month that was free, and then deleted it. I then found myself going back to it and subscribing as it’s well worth the money, and I struggled to find similar. Have used the app for 2 years, maybe more.
i would recommend highlighting all of the new PRs so it is easier to see and share. When finishing a workout you are able to share it and next to the pr it could be highlighted or the word pr next to it which would be sick. Also if you are able to add a separate notes section so i am able to note down some things for next session just like on ios where you can make folders. One folder could be for diets and the other for notes for the next day etc.
Developer ResponseThank you for your feedback! These are great ideas. Please feel free to check out the feature request section in the app if you are interested in seeing other user requests and their status.
One of the more useful gym apps I have come across in a while. Allows you to record sets without faffing about, and allows to record supersets and also share with friends etc. A con would be the fact that the app is quite pointless to have unless you pay for the full version as you can’t log more than 5 exercises in a workout, and cannot log supersets. Other than this, would recommend to anyone looking to keep an eye on their progress in the gym. :)
This is the only ever weight logging app I’ve used, so I can’t compare it to any others, but it’s pretty great. One thing I’d like them to add is for data for exercises to be saved even when deleted from folders. I deleted an exercise as I was moving it to another new folder, but all my data for that exercise was gone, I’m not sure if that’s just an unlucky glitch or a feature that just doesn’t exist yet. I would love it if they added it though.
Developer ResponseThank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you've found Setgraph great. We appreciate your feedback about exercise data being saved. Data is usually stored in the main exercise folder even when deleted from one of the ones you have created. If you are interested, please reach out to us at support@setgraph.app for further assistance. Thanks again for using our app and for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Brilliant app, does what it says in the name. You can enter your sets with ease, and track your progress on a graph. Had every type of exercise I do in the gym. Only improvements I’d make are allow a scrolling number feature to enter reps as that would be quicker for entering. And add the ability to track time as well as reps as for exercises like plank, time is more beneficial to track.
Really good app overall, sometimes hard to navigate and hard to change the settings. The biggest issue for me is that even if the iPhone health app has access to it, the workouts are not registered on the health app itself. Not sure if this can be improved from the developer or if it’s an issue with Apple, but it’d be extremely useful to have my workouts registered alongside other health stats like my daily steps.
Developer ResponseThanks for your review and feedback! It's great to hear that you find the app useful overall. The duration of your sessions should be visible in the Apple Fitness app. We're constantly working to improve integration and will take your feedback into consideration for future updates.
I have recently started getting back into the gym and struggle to get motivated but this app has changed it all for me. i have been using the free trial for the last few days and will definitely be subscribing due to the personalised workouts based on individual targets and availability to go to the gym. definitely would recommend
Developer ResponseWe’re glad to hear the app is helping you stay motivated to get back into your workout routine! Thank you for sharing your experience and for recommending us.
Gym logging has always been something I wanted to take seriously. Before I was using my Notes app and it was messy, I was also not tracking time between sets which meant it was hard to tell actual progress. I use 5 mins for back chest and shoulder press, 3 for arms and 2 for lat raises. Good app that helps me progress accurately.
Developer ResponseThank you for your kind review. We're glad you found the app effective and useful. It's always motivating to hear that Setgraph has helped others through their progress!
The app runs smoothly and during my trial of the full mode I had a fine time using it. However, you can’t easily change rest times or have a workout that includes normal sets and supersets. The simple design is not really a problem if you just want a tracker (like I do) and it has almost every exercise I wanted but I wouldn’t pay for it with the issues I’ve mentioned. However if you are willing to pay, this is the best value for money I’ve seen.
Developer ResponseThank you so much for the feedback. One thing I'd like to note is that you can create your own exercise. You are not limited to the ones on the list.
