Virgin Radio UK - Listen Live
Ratings & Reviews
We tune in from dawn to dusk, even leave this playing on the smart speaker so the cat has company when we’re not home. Love the station, Chris & team as need this especially in the morning although if I miss it I catch up on the app. Keep up the great work guys. 😎
It’s lovely being able to listen to Chris Evans out of digital radio range. At home I can watch the video, no problems with the picture- though the app thinks there is and every few seconds a message “ video taking too long to load- keep trying?” message comes up in front of the still clearly playing video!I thought this was the fault of my ancient iPhone 8, but I now have a new iPhone and it’s still doing it. Please sort it out!
I have listened and been a fan of Chris and the team for years.😀😀 I lived in Germany for 17 years then Switzerland for 15 months and always listened to your show on an App, 😀😀👏👏👍🏻👍🏻 before moving back to the New Forest last year. 😀👍🏻 Not only do i listen to the show everyday Chris. I think its fantastic what you and the team do in generating money for so many different courses👍🏻👍🏻👏👏 Then all the interesting guests you’ve had on the show over the years👍🏻👍🏻😀😀👏👏👏 I’ve bought several books from some of the aforementioned. Chris mate, I just don’t know where you get your energy from? I think your a massive inspiration for so many people , even people like me in their 50,s 👍🏻👍🏻👏👏😀😀 Great family man, marathon runner, Charity campaigner, Car Fest 🚘 etc etc Mate how do you fit it all in ? 😰😰😂😂😀😀👏👏👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻as I’ve said; inspirational and then great music 🎼🎹😀😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👏👏keep it up mate! Can’t and don’t want ever imagine Chris Evans not on the radio! John.L Lymington😀👍🏻
Horror of horrors couldn’t get virgin on my radio so I had to buy a Dab radio!! Car radio couldn’t get u so u downloaded the app on my phone. Lasting the time between Chris leaving radio 2 and starting virgin was like a desert. I love his show because he is full of humour, a family man who involves kids in the show and has huge compassion. Following him through his personal life has u in tears, both with sadness when his mum passed and joy when Ping and Pong became Walt and Boo. His laughter is infectious- I always start the day on a high. Have converted work to listen at My Mortgage Company in Brighton and the boss Iain has converted his home radio! I just can’t seem to send texts from my phone for Tune in Tuesdays! Love Vassos, Rachel and the whole team. My daughter and I often give each other travel updates with an Irish accent 😂. We just love the accent. Keep doing what u r doing and playing more fab music. Next on my list is a car radio so I don’t lose the signal!
I was driving from my house up the Braes from Shieldhill near Falkirk singing along to the tunes on the Chris Evans show , when suddenly at the crossroads I was hit from the driver’s side and ended up turning left and heading downhill . My car was a right off, my packed lunch including jelly and yogurt ended up on the windscreen and the other car was in a ditch amongst trees and I was at a loss to understand what had hit me for at least 15 minutes and the driver emerged. Another moment and he would have hit my door !!!PS I was on the main road driving my silver Toyota Corolla , phoned the school where I taught Art, was given the day off to recover and told to soak in the bath to help my whiplash bruises. That was 30 years ago. Still listening. Thanks Chris for everything xxx
Emigrating to the UK from the USA in 1995, I found my radio spiritual home in the Beeb R2. Cried when Johnny Walker gave up drive time and when Terry Wogan left breakfast. Doubted Mr Evans to replace these eminent souls. (Still listen faithfully to Walker of course ❤️. Best laugh on radio.) Chris was good on R2 but has hit his stride on Virgin. The R2 playlist has turned to crappy tech - low, crass studio yuck. Really prefer the vibe of Virgin’s playlist - talented artists & bands playing real instruments and music. Thank God. Some songs a bit overplayed but I’m always wondering why- where the artists fit in the big picture of Sky and Virgin. So I forgive the overplaying. Well done Virgin. You’ve earned my listening time and I’ve converted quite a few who were Virgin to Virgin! 😉 Even play Virgin in my bar in Sainte Foy. My guests are loving it. Nice work. 👍
Love that’s I found this app, my morning Fix is back. Alexa downstairs and app for on the move-yeah! I just need to work out how to sort DAB retune in my car. My DAB radio for the garden struggles with the signal. Somehow Radio 2 is much stronger reception. Like many others have said I was gutted when Chris and the crew left, it took me until March to decide to try his new show, lots going on and I wasn’t sure I could cope with what I assumed would be a deluge of adverts. How wrong was I, brilliant, other than the obvious Virgin and Sky comments the show is Radio 2 with knobs on..such a happy vibe I love 💕 it - Brilliant! I just need to sort out my Simon Mayo absence, I’m really missing his drivetime. Please tell me he’s moving to virgin too🙏
Just love Chris and the team! Listened to him at R2 and I thought my world would come crashing down when I could not get him when he moved to Virgin, so what did I do?...invested in a new Bose Dab radio and I’ve not looked back 😘😀. My radio is my constant company because it helps to ease the boredom. I have always thought you were a great broadcaster but I think you’ve stepped up a gear or two! You spread positivity. I remember you saying when you left R2 that you wanted a new challenge and boy! what an achievement. Keep doing it Chris! You are great!!And with Graham joining in the NY, my weekend will be sorted. Can’t wait! Two for the price of one- THANK YOU MR CHRIS EVANS😀😀Mr Tequila T hahaha 🤣
This is a good app, swapping between Virgin stations is a doddle, identifying music simple and easy, contacting the studio is child’s play but it’s letdown by being pretty unstable. Caching is terrible, crashing a regular occurrence but the worst thing is the refusal to reconnect automatically when the signal drops out for a minute or two. I mean it’s a mobile app, lose of coverage or swapping from 4G to 3G is to be expected when in the move, so if the app is still open why disconnect? If you’re driving a car, expect long periods of silence until you can find some place to safely pullover and relaunch the app. It’s a good app, it really is, but it’s stopped from being great by flawed development and testing.
Listening to Chris Evans each morning is what I can only assume is similar to standing in a hurricane. If you want a laid back introduction to the day then change channel. Chris drags you along through his show at a speed which many presenters cannot achieve. Intelligent and engaging individual with an excellent team that must have been specially trained to withstand the immense pressure of presenting a show at unimaginable speed. No time to sit back but to be at the forefront of an excellent show you need to hit the show running. What ever your on team, I want some of it.
