Radio Stations UK - Live FM
Ratings & Reviews
This app is like my right a and I can’t do without it. It keeps me going through the day and I switch genres all day long depending on my mood. The ad free version for a very small fee is well worth it. All my friends and family are using it now too. Give it a try. You won’t regret it.
Been using this app for at least a couple of years now. More or less straight away after using the app I paid the tiny bit extra to remove the ads. Don’t know what I’d do without it. As a result I have subsequently bought many tracks that I have listened to on Ambient Radio station on the app.I would strongly recommend that particular radio station. I listen to Ambient almost every night with my noise cancelling headphones on which helps me to drop off to sleep. The only one criticism I have for the app is perhaps they can make the icons a little bigger for each of the stations as it’s easy to hit the ‘X’ in the top right hand corner of the icon by mistake when you actually meant to just touch the icon.
Biggest issue with the app is the infuriating ‘consent’ wall you have to go through. You either consent to all or spend a few minutes clicking on ‘do not consent’ and even worse ‘legitimate interest’. You could of course ‘accept all’ but then you are agreeing to any of the hundreds of data brokers to use and sell your data (note it’s THIER ‘legitimate interest’ and they don’t state what that is).Once in you have to suffer some stupid game footage that runs and runs until finally the small ‘close’ icon appears. Click on the wrong button? That’s you redirected to buying the game. Now looking for another app-to the app owners HINT: Have a ‘reject all’ option in the first page instead of forcing people to either accept shady businesses to sell their data or laboriously trawl through and manually tick ‘off’.
Before you can begin to listen to a station or podcast, you are subjected to adverts for games etc. There is no obvious way to remove or shorten or avoid the adverts, except, probably to pay a monthly or annual subscription fee. Why do we continue to willingly allow ourselves to be subjected to these irrelevant, irritating, and irreverent adverts? No radio program or podcast is worth it. I can read a book without being forced to watch an advert for some empty, mindless, frivolous game, and wait for it to finish before I can access what I am actually interested in. Honestly, enough with the adverts. I have removed this App. It is not worth it.
Firstly, this is the only radio/music app that I’ve ever be impressed enough by to purchase the paid version. Up until around a week ago I would have given it a full 5 star rating but the ‘update’ to fix bugs appears to have broken the app. I previously used to put the sleep timer on, shut my eyes and drift off to sleep. Since the update the sleep feature no longer works and the app stays on all night (or at least until it wakes my wife up). I’ve also noticed that I now, on a daily basis, get the request to ‘allow all cookies’ which is to say the least VERY VERY ANNOYING. Please, please can you at least sort out the sleep timer function so it works properly again?
I love this app, there are variety of channels put on what ever channel you want to play Reggae, Hits radio, Capital, Lofi, Total hits, Magic, Ibiza, Kiss, Rock, Classic,Dance, Heart, Christmas songs and so on......Beam is my favourite You can select your most liked channels in favourites and don’t need to search your choice. Some of the channels are add free, and works 24x7, don’t even need to tune. I connect via Bluetooth to my home theatre set, output is crystal clear music. I play every day , if I am on the move I use my headphones to listen to music, I even stopped buying CD’s you get all the latest and oldies songs to listen on it. If you have this app on your phone , trust me it will be your favourite.
Probably the radio app for the iPad and iPhone. I tried Boom with all the fancy DSP trickery and while it sounds quite but it does rely on adding reverb, it was awful for finding UK stations. This one however is excellent for the UK. Finds stations in an instant and also has very good sound quality. The EQ is great if you find a station with a poor sound quality. Highly recommend this app for smooth performance, sound quality and consistent station discovery. Bought the Pro to eliminate the ads and so improved usability even more.
I understand ads that are display at the bottom or somewhere on the screen that don’t interfere with you using the app but this app has a different level of advertisement that take over your entire screen and you’re made to watch it for 10-20 seconds even after hitting the x but another advert or redirect takes place taking you to a shopping app or AppStore. After two days of use It just got too much so I've had to move on to a different radio app.
i personally think the fact that you get adverts is a bit annoying and the fact that i have to back out of the app to get the ad away because the (X) doesn’t work but besides all of that it’s a really good app to just chill out and listen to different radio stations. I’ve shown this to some of my friends and they are very happy that you can listen to practically all of the top and nearby radio stations which is great! It’s a great app i would definitely recommend this to anyone which wants to just listen to soothing music!
This seems like a potentially good app. The range of stations available looks like it’s really good. I say ‘seems’ and ‘looks like’ because I haven’t really had a good opportunity to try more than a few things.Every time I go back into the app, I’m asked to give my consent to the harvesting of my personal data. When I first used the app I turned all of these off - including all the so called ‘legitimate interests’ (legitimate for whom and for what exactly?), as well as all the almost hidden ‘vendor preferences. Took a little while, but wanted to try the app first before spending money to get rid of ads; only to find, I was confronted with the same faff next time I opened the app…… and the next etc. Sorry, life’s too short. If this app can’t log preferences, then who’s to say this won’t happen every time I use it, whether I’ve paid a subscription or not. So, I won’t be and have deleted it; too much like hard work, if you want your data to stay yours.Shame, it looks like a decent app.
