MoviePro is a professional video camera for iPhone and iPad, built for the takes you cannot afford to miss.
Start in Auto for a calm shooting experience that keeps essential information visible and warns you when something threatens the take. Switch to Pro when you need direct control over exposure, focus, white balance, zoom and recording format.
AUTO MODE
Auto keeps the interface clear while the camera manages exposure and white balance.
• Tap to set focus and exposure
• Lock white balance with one tap
• Check microphone, storage and recording readiness before you roll
• See clear warnings before technical problems ruin the take
PRO MODE
Take direct control when the shot demands it.
• Manual rails for ISO, shutter, white balance, tint, focus and zoom
• Set A/B focus and zoom points for controlled pulls
• Focus peaking, zebras and framing guides
• Presets for interviews, field reports, performances, studio recording and Log
• Organize recordings by project, camera, scene and take
PRO CAPTURE
• ProRes, HEVC and H.264
• Apple Log and 10-bit HDR
• ProRes RAW on supported devices
• Cinematic and high-frame-rate recording
• Exact NTSC frame rates — 23.98, 29.97 and 59.94 fps — in Pro Mode
• Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto lens selection
Available formats, frame rates and lenses depend on your device.
LIVE MONITORING
See both the image and the health of the recording system while you shoot.
• Waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade and histogram
• Live audio meters with the active microphone always visible
• Focus, exposure and framing assists
• Clean HDMI output to compatible external displays
• Storage, thermal and recording-health information
DUAL CAPTURE
Record the front and rear cameras together using split-screen or picture-in-picture layouts on supported devices.
REMOTE CONTROL
Use another iPhone as a remote controller and live monitor—without installing a separate Remote app.
Install MoviePro on both devices, connect them to the same Wi-Fi network or Personal Hotspot, then assign one as the camera and the other as the controller.
The Apple Watch companion can also start, stop and monitor recording from your wrist.
TAKE RECEIPTS
After recording, MoviePro shows what was actually captured, including format, frame rate, audio source and important warnings.
Confirm the take before leaving the location, while there is still time to record it again.
AUDIO MONITORING
• See the active microphone and audio levels before and during recording
• Receive a warning if the microphone disconnects during a take
• Use supported wired, USB-C and Bluetooth microphones
LIBRARY AND iPAD
• Review recordings with their Take Receipts
• Mark favorite takes and find useful clips quickly
• Use complete iPad layouts in portrait and landscape
FREE AND PRO
Auto recording is free.
You can explore the complete Pro interface—including controls, scopes, presets and settings—before purchasing.
Unlock recording in Pro, Dual Capture and Remote Control with a one-time lifetime purchase. The 7-day Pro Pass provides the same access for seven days and does not auto-renew. No subscription is required.
Existing MoviePro purchases carry forward.

A quality app and paired with remote app it is fantastic.

MoviePro 10.0.1 is a stability and fidelity release, built almost
entirely from your reports since the 10.0 launch. Thank you for sending
them — nearly every line below started as an email.
WHERE TO FIND TWO CONTROLS YOU'VE ASKED ABOUT
• Front camera — tap the lens chip at the top right of the viewfinder,
in either Auto or Pro, and choose Front. The chip reads FR while the
front camera is live. Lenses can't be swapped mid-take.
• Stabilization — in Pro, tap the More button at the top right, then
Stabilize: Off, Standard, Cinematic or Extreme. In Auto, MoviePro
manages stabilization for you and shows the mode it chose in the
pre-flight checklist.
FIXED — IMAGE
• Recorded video looked washed out, dull and desaturated next to the
preview. The recording path now states its colour correctly, so what
you see is what lands in the file.
• Stabilization silently switched off after changing lens or flipping to
the front camera, and stayed off until the next settings change.
• Cold-boot recordings could drop to 8-bit despite a 10-bit setting.
FIXED — CRASHES AND FAILED TAKES
• Crash when starting a 4K60 ProRes take on internal storage. ProRes 4K60
now records internally.
• Crash when switching between HDR and SDR with the camera running.
• Crashes when setting focus point, exposure compensation or zoom.
• Crash when switching modes while a session was tearing down.
• DualCam could refuse to start a recording entirely.
• A freeze when tapping Record.
FIXED — FRONT CAMERA AND ORIENTATION
• iPhone 17 Pro: front-camera files recorded upside-down.
• The Mirror Front Cam setting behaved backwards.
• Preview flipped the wrong way when rotating the phone.
• Launching with the front camera saved now starts on the front camera.
FIXED — DUALCAM
• Audio dropped out when switching cameras mid-take.
• The front camera was stretched in composited takes.
• A black first frame at the start of a recording.
• Your PIP position and live camera are restored between sessions.
• Larger, more reliable touch targets throughout.
FIXED — LONG RECORD
• The preview froze after a 4K take or a mode switch.
• Long Record now honours your H.264 and ProRes codec choice instead of
always recording HEVC.
• Remote preview holds a steady frame rate while recording 4K.
FIXED — ELSEWHERE
• "Frames Dropping" warnings counted preview frames as lost footage —
they now report only what actually left your recording.
• The Take Receipt could mislabel the frame rate of a clip.
• Storage warnings no longer claim a block that isn't there.
• Status pills could creep under the Dynamic Island in portrait.
• Importing a photo could fail without telling you.
NEW
• 100 and 200 fps high-speed recording.
• Volume buttons start and stop recording. Turn it off in Settings ›
Lens & Rig.
• Screen Dimmer gains a Black level — hide the preview completely while
recording to save power.
• A time-of-day timecode track on recorded files, for DaVinci Resolve
and Final Cut Pro.
• Pro capture settings — ISO, shutter angle, white balance, lens,
aperture, stabilization — embedded in every Pro file.
• Tap the gold badge on a preset to deselect it.
• Tap to Hide Interface, with an explanation of what it does.
• A support diagnostics block, so a bug report can carry the facts we
need to fix it.
Keep the reports coming — support@moviepro.app. They work.
