Crunchyroll is an awesome app for watching anime legally and in great quality. The design is smooth, streaming works well, and the library is huge – there’s always something to watch!As a fan from the Czech Republic, I truly enjoy using the app every day. The only thing that would make it perfect is support for Czech subtitles. Many fans here struggle with English, and adding Czech would open the doors for a whole new wave of anime lovers – especially kids and casual viewers.Please consider this! I've been using this app for quite some time now, and I truly appreciate everything it offers. However, I must express my concern about recent changes that have significantly impacted my experience. In my opinion, one of the key reasons for this app's popularity has been its vibrant and engaged community. A strong, supportive community is essential, and it has been a defining feature of this platform. Removing the ability to comment under each episode has, unfortunately, diminished the experience. The opportunity to share thoughts and feelings, and to connect with others who are equally excited or moved by an episode, was a significant part of what made this platform special. After waiting eagerly for a new episode, being able to dive into the comments and see the reactions of others added an extra layer of enjoyment and connection. Without this feature, much of that sense of community has been lost. Another feature I greatly valued was the recommendation section for each anime, where users could explain why they would or wouldn’t recommend a particular show. This was incredibly helpful in guiding my viewing choices, saving me time, and ensuring that I was watching content that truly interested me. I hope you will consider reinstating these features, as they were integral to the app's appeal and the strong sense of community that set it apart.

I’ve been a paying user, but this app is rapidly alienating its subscriber base. It refuses to support iOS 16, which is an absurd limitation for an application that essentially just plays videos. Instead of optimizing for accessibility, they completely block browser viewing—forcing you to download an app that their own updates leave unsupported.When you do get it working, the UI is a mess full of errors. Compared to other modern streaming services that offer seamless browser playback, offline viewing, and intuitive navigation, the value provided here is minimal. It’s no wonder they are actively losing market share to better platforms when they treat paying customers this way.

A while back, I really loved crunchyroll. But what’s enought is enought. They have really little library of old titles, some of them are not even starting from first season (for example date a live starts by season 3) and when new title comes out, episodes are often late or missing subtitles. UI is overall ugly and without functions that even web pirate sites have. When you pause video and dare to use another app for more that 20 seconds, app just refresh and good luck finding where you left off with your video.The only thing that seems to work properly is recommended series, which if you ignore that 90% of isekai slop that it feeds you, the remaining 10% are popular or really interesting titles based of what you recently watched. Don’t even let me start on that useless search function.And that all for a just a small subscription with price PRETTY CLOSE TO NETFLIX.At state crunchyroll is now in, it is better to just watch your favorite titles on some pirate sites for free and then support the actual creators somewhere else. And that’s really sad.
