The organisation of darkness, Team Rocket, has launched itself into Pokémon TCG Pocket! Its members use Pokémon for their schemes in pursuit of world domination – but despite their grand ambitions, they somehow always mess up when it counts. In the new themed booster pack, Team Rocket’s Ambition, you’ll find cards depicting Team Rocket Grunts and their Pokémon.
Ahead of the release of the new booster pack, we can exclusively reveal three of the upcoming cards right here on the App Store. Just imagine what kind of decks you can build with these Pokémon!
Team Rocket’s Raticate ex
Ability: Thieving Incisors
Can be used once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand to have your Pokémon undergo Evolution. Move one random Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokémon to this Pokémon.
Attack: Colourless x2 Boost Dash 70
The name Team Rocket’s Raticate may bring back nostalgic memories for fans. Some may remember battling Team Rocket Grunts who sent Raticate out into battle. Thieving Incisors is a unique Ability that lets you steal Energy from your opponent’s Active Pokémon and attach it to yourself. Undergo Evolution from Team Rocket’s Rattata in the Active Spot to launch a sudden surprise attack on your opponent.
Team Rocket’s Slowpoke
Attack: Psychic x1 Scavenge
Add one random Item card from your discard pile to your hand.
Team Rocket and Slowpoke have a long-standing connection. Team Rocket was once even known for selling Slowpoke Tail. The artwork on the card shows Slowpoke in what appears to be a Team Rocket hideout. With the attack Scavenge, you can add one random Item card from your discard pile to your hand. You might be able to return a previously used Poké Ball, X Speed or Rare Candy to your hand.
Team Rocket’s Pincurchin
Attack: Lightning x1 Poison Jab 20
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon gets Poisoned.
The illustration on the Pincurchin card also depicts Team Rocket Grunts, who look like they’re plotting something. This is the first Lightning type Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket that can leave the opponent Poisoned. It might be fun to build a deck around it with Pokémon that deal extra damage to Poisoned Pokémon or to Pokémon that have already taken damage.
